Look what we have here….LYLA! (on the right) shows off her super cutie smile while on tub, just like her mummy PAULA! in the 80’s (on the left). They put some serious creative bubbles on their bath time without rubber duckie floating around (!!!)
Keep an eye on Lyla…she’s going places. Besides school and stuff.

Family snaps
Model-actress Paula Buttery and her daughter Lila Jane will be on an upcoming cover of Praew, but evidently for less than the seven-digit fee that her daughter’s “debut” might command.
Paula denies the media calculation but remains tight-lipped about the actual figure. “It’s not about the fee - I just want to have nice photographs with her, and I knew Praew would take good care of her.”
At the shoot, Lila wasn’t at all camera-shy, much to the delight of the crew and Lila’s “fans” who were invited to watch. “Lila has her own fan club,” Paula explains - her and husband Edward’s friends.
Paula happy to bring Lyla back to Thailand, plans on working to have a second child immediately TRANSLATION CREDITS:KAMEY OF www.daracandy.com
Paula reveals that she’s very happy to return to Thailand, with her daughter Lyla, and anticipates working in events with her. She also reveals that, when she’s ready, she’s going to try for her second child. She hopes to have a son next, and plans on having three children all together. Her husband Edward is crazy about their daughter and has moved to Singapore to work.
She and her daughter arrived in Thailand this morning. The young mother accepted event work immediately on landing, also stating that she hasn’t been to Thailand for over a year and that she greatly misses it. As for her husband, Edward Buttery, he has already moved to Singapore for work. Currently, he’s travelling between Thailand and Singapore, and Paula has told Lyla that they’ll visit her father in a week. She reveals that being a mother makes her feel very happy and she wants her friends to become mothers soon, so Lyla can have friends to play with.
When did you come back?
“I just arrived this morning. I haven’t been back to Thailand in over a year and I miss it very much.”
How does it feel to receive the role as a mother?
“It’s a role that I don’t have to play for others. The first six weeks, I raised her myself and after that, people came to help me. It’s fun, I feel happy that I’m able to raise her, but I don’t have as much time for myself so I have to ask my relatives to come help cook for me.” (How does it feel to be a mother?) “I want my friends to have kids so they can be Lyla’s friends. Becoming a mother is something very new, before I didn’t think it was going to be such a full time job, but it’s fun, it’s like receiving a new role.”
Is it easy to raise her?
“She’s easy to raise.” (Does Edward help raise her?) “He helped raise her even more than me, but afterwards he couldn’t as much since he had to work.” (Is he crazy about his daughter?) “Very much.” (Did he come back with you?) “Right now, he moved to Singapore to work there. He’s travelling between Thailand and Singapore.”
Have you accepted work with your daughter?
“I’ll have to see first.” (Are you staying in Thailand first or no?) “I’ll go back and forth. I”m staying here for a week and then going to Singapore, but I’ll be back, I’m not leaving for good.”
Now that you’re back, are you ready to accept work again?
“I want to. If they hire me, then I will.” (After this, will you have work?) “I do, I have a photoshoot to do. Whether or not I have one with my daughter, we’ll have to see.” (Has anyone contacted you yet?) “Not yet, I just arrived. If anybody is interested though, they can contact me.”
Did you plan for your child’s future?
“She’s only four months, I’m not thinking too much about it right now, I’ll take it step by step.” (If there is a mother-daughter magazine contacting you to work with them, will you accept it?) “We’ll see first. I probably will, but we’ll just have to wait and see for now.”
How does everybody feel about your daughter?
“They’re crazy about her.”
Now that you’re a mother, how has your life changed?
“It’s changed because before I do anything, I have to think about my daughter first. Before I do anything, I have to plan it ahead of time. Truthfully, I’m the type of person that will do anything I want to do, but now, I have to think about it first. Before I go anywhere, I have to calm down first and ask myself if I need to prepare anything.”
Did you go back to your previous weight?
“I didn’t really do much, I just played with my daughter. I haven’t really lost weight. When I was pregnant, I gained 11-12 kilograms (22-25 lbs.) but it all went to my daughter.”
Are you going to have your second child immediately?
“I will have a second child for sure but I’m going to wait a bit.” (How long do you plan to wait?) “Not too long, but I’m just going to wait first, I’m still having fun with this child. If I had choice, I want my second child to be a boy. Altogether, I want three children.”
About you and your child accepting work, is Edward worried?
“He’s worried about us meeting a lot of people. I told him he doesn’t have to worry because I am the mother. He’s not stopping me though, he’s just worried.”
Will you be able to play in lakorns again as a totally new character?
“We’ll have to see, but I’ll be pleased to. I’m filming my next lakorn next year and I’m very excited.”
Now that you have a child, do you think you’ll be as hot as you were back then?
“I don’t hope for it at all, as long as I’m able to work I’m happy. Whenever I do something now, I have to think about my child too.”
