It seems that a lot of people are starting to notice Paula Taylor these days.

This Thai-born beauty is really getting around. She first came to the attention of many Pinoys during her stint in Amazing Race Asia reality TV game show with best buddy Natasha Monks. And although she was already a VJ for Channel V at that time, she was still an unknown entity to the Philippine entertainment public.

Not anymore, it seems. The movie-going public immediately warmed up to Paula Taylor as she starred with veteran funny man Vic Sotto in the film Love On Line (LOL). The movie is already showing in theaters nationwide and is poised to become another box office hit for the evergreen Sotto. Paula even got a taste of Pinoy movie intrigue as rumors started up about Vic Sotto taking a liking to her. She denied all these and went on to claim that she is unattached as of the moment. The veteran actor’s current beau is Eat Bulaga co-host Pia Guanio, who in the same way denies any jealousy on her part. (more…)

It finally happened

“Are you still coming?” I was really having second thoughts of saying yes but I already made a promise, I was driving back then and when the lights went red I made a call and said “Sorry for the late reply…Are you sure it’s really ok to go there?” and the other line says “Yes..she really wants to meet you…good luck!”, lights went green and I drove by to this place and suddenly I felt like my stomach is in my throat and my heartbeat is in my teeth. I was really N-E-R-V-O-U-S!

I thought the shoot will start at 9pm and I was there around 7pm-ish and I thought that’s enough time to explain how it all started and to express that I never really thought it would go this far. The area by the way has a very weak signal, fluctuating signal or worst dead spot, couldn’t reach the person I’m supposed to meet so I thought it was the best time to escape, but then again I really want to end the anonymity and I really don’t wanna loose the chance…until my phone rung. Indie Filmmaker meets Paula Taylor for the first time

HOPING TO COLLABORATE WITH PAULA

DATE SENT:12 JULY 2009

I was recently in Thailand visiting a friend that lives there. I met Paula briefly at an event she was doing at Siam Paragon and I had a friend take a photo of me with her.

At the time, I really had no idea who Paula was, except for the fact that my friend told me she was a famous Thai star. And I wanted to send her the photo to thank her for taking the time to take it with me.

I also wanted to mention to her that I’m an aspiring filmmaker. I shot a non-narrative film while I was in Thailand so I will send you the link (thru the fansite) so you can judge my talents as a filmmaker with my work rather than my words. >>>>> SKY TRAIN

I aspire to eventually direct feature length films and I would love to shoot a multilingual film in Thailand since the cost of production would be a lot cheaper than it would be in the US.

BANGKOK TRIP: 23 JUNE 2009

It was such a fun experience to see Paula Taylor in person last June 23. She’s my favorite way back in Amazing Race Asia. Just to share with you, I was really shy when we saw her at Central World Plaza, but my boyfriend gathered his guts to approach her, and guess what? she’s nice after all! She even saw our CANON digicam, and was so happy that we have one. Haha! She’s so pretty!

We were able to see her at Central World Plaza last June 23, 2009 when me and my fiance are vacationing in Bangkok. It’s one of the highlights of our trip. We were really happy to see Paula. :)

Mornings & Paula Taylor

Cramped aboard the MRT, I was deep in thought of my usual morning routine when my attention was caught by a pretty lady smiling a far. It was Paula Taylor’s billboard from afar. I think it was for a skin product.

For the time being, I became oblivious to the discomfort of my travel to work and fancied the smile of Paula. I first came to see Ms. Taylor via the Amazing Race Asia Season 2. Paula teamed up with her bestfriend Natasha. Although they eventually lost, I think she stood out among the constestants as this sweet looking lady thrilled with the adventure and filled with competitive spirit. I’d like to award her the amazing face award, at least in that Season 2.

A quick google of Paula’s name led me to Wikipedia. There, I found out that aside from being a model, Ms. Taylor was also an actress and VJ for Channel V Thailand. She is a wonderful result of the union between an English Father and a Thai mother.

Thank you, Paula Taylor. This morning proved to be less stressful. :)
