I just spent a fun afternoon with Emilio (de la Morena) the amazing Spanish designer and my friend Paula (Taylor) who was in town from Thailand. She is an English-Thai actress and VJ and the bond between the two was instant! We turned Emilio’s studio terrace into a closet trying dresses. The combination of his generous hospitality, sunshine and beautiful dresses made me forget about my dinner plans, order Maroush from across his studio and spend the whole evening listening to his inspirations and future plans. A truly perfect evening!

I’m sooooo happy that Gary and I are working together again!

For those who have not read my earlier blogs… Gary Chung is not only one of HK’s top makeup artists, but he is the man behind the makeup in my music video amongst other campaigns including Sofina and E. Funkhauser

This time, I was hired alongside Paula Taylor and Coraline (we are all Calcarries Models!) to be the face of his Makeup School’s most recent ad - Portfolio Makeup School. Our make up were respectively done by his students (Paula’s make up was a bridal look, mine a sexy one, and Coraline’s a fancy party one)

It was a lot of fun! We all got along like a house on fire and came back with some memories to keep!

Paula Taylor and I have heard about one another since the early days of our modeling careers (around 2002 and beyond!). We both shared one of the most awesome agents in Thailand, P’Dao who back then helped both of us go from fresh, new-faced models to ones that could command a bit more Baht than the norm! If you live in Thailand, you’d know Paula as one of the country’s ’superstars’ and if you live around Asia you would of seen her as one of the popular contestants on Amazing Race Asia. TWG was lucky to catch up with lovely Taylor and asked her all about those matters of the heart.

Miss Jetset, what are you working on now?

I just finished a new movie in Thailand, finishing off Season 2 of my sitcom ‘True Love Next Door‘, hosting Channel V and various modeling jobs that I’m shuttling between HK, Manila and Bangkok for.

The question on everyone’s mind… are you seeing anyone special?

I’m glad you’ve all managed to come and check out the hard work that a certain special someone has whipped up for us *big hugs* Are you guys loving it? I’ve been such a big fan of The Amazing Race Asia 2 ever since episode 1 aired! I’ve been very vocal on air about how exciting it is and how I actually like this Asian version much better than the American one. I was never a big fan of the 1st season of TARA, but I was hooked immediately when I caught the 1st episode of the 2nd season. So imagine my delight and how starstruck I was when Marc Nelson and Paula Taylor dropped by RX for a station visit! Everyone is aware of how good-looking Marc is, but what bowled over EVERYONE (ladies included) was just how pretty Paula Taylor is in person! (more…)
